Why don't you list the healing properties of any of your products?The reason we do not list a natural products healing properties is due to regulations. The Canadian government clearly states that any product claims that a product has healing capabilities must be proven in clinical trials. Due to fact we are using natural products and we are a small company, we do not have the financial resources to follow through with the extensive research needed. Instead, we list the products common uses and history. You will be able to make your own assumptions about the product from this information. What is Creation from Eden's definition of natural?The word natural gets thrown around in this industry way too often. I thought I'd better define the word "natural" as it pertains to my life and my products. The definition to the word natural in this website means that the product is free from pesticides and chemicals. It means that the product is created in the most natural way possible, without human interference. Certain products such as MSM and lye do not exist naturally in modern day (regardless of what you may have heard or read), but they are made in the most natural way possible. My herbs, essential oils and absolutes do not contain any man-made or synthetic ingredients. And finally, I source my raw ingredients from ethical and reliable suppliers who supply products that I have the utmost confidence in. If I will not use it on my family, I will not allow it to bear the word natural. Back to Top
What does your slogan "Natural products with Purpose" mean?We decided to use this slogan as all our products from raw materials to finished salves, balms and cosmetic products (coming soon!) all have a purpose in the natural world. Even our synthetic products have a purpose whether it be fragrance oils used in candle making or soaping, or Germall Plus for preserving. Back to Top
How are your cosmetic products considered safe, if you do not use a synthetic preservative?This is a debate that will, unfortunately, never end. Yes, natural products can be made without the use of a synthetic preservative in a safe manner. Products made with natural preservatives do, however, have a much shorter shelf life. This is the main drawback to all 100% natural products. Essentially, the consumer has to weigh the pros and cons of purchasing a completely natural product versus adding a minute amount of synthetic preservative. It is up to the individual consumer. Our products are challenge tested to ensure safety, however once the product leaves our hands, some situations can leave a product vulnerable (such as using wet hands in the product or storing in the bathroom or humid conditions). At Creations from Eden we do offer the addition of a synthetic preservative in our formulations if you have any hesitation or concern. Back to Top
