Aromatic Description:  Distilled lime oil is clean and has a typical citrus fruity-fresh aroma. Like citrus oils in general, it is reminiscent of the corresponding fresh fruit. The lasting notes resemble orange and actually finish sweet.  This lime, being distilled, is like none other, it makes your mouth water!

Blends well with:  Lime oil blends particularly well with other citrus oils, neroli, lavender, clary sage, ylang-ylang and ginger.  (Try in a blend of 3:1 Lime: Ginger… very nice!)

Safety precautions:   Expressed lime oil is phototoxic, however being this is steam distilled, it does not have this attribute.

Common Uses:  Acne, asthma, chilblains, colds, dull skin, flu, varicose veins.  Lime Essential Oil is well known in folklore for its ability to cleanse, purify and renew the spirit and the mind. It is also said to be effective in cleansing the aura.

Other information:  Lime oils naturally contain varying quantities of limonene, pinene, dipentene, citral, and C8, C9 and C10 aldehydes.
