Plant Part: Berries, To prevent loss of essential oil, juniper berries should not be ground, crushed, or rubbed until just before use.
Common Uses: Used in soap as a natural colourant, for decoration or for the scent. They do retain some scent, thus are a wonderful addition to your juniper soap.
Precautions: None known for external applications.
Constituents:
Primarily sugars, but also pinene, limonene, tannins, and antioxidant flavonoids.
