Our sericite mica is natural and untreated.

Sericite is used extensively in cosmetics, especially in foundations as a base ingredient. It is an inert, stable inorganic mineral which feels silky to the touch and reflects light, reducing the appearance of pores and wrinkles.

Sericite offers sheen and slip, and has average adhesion. It has low coverage.

It is not as shimmery as other options, such as bismuth oxychloride, but it is also not as matte as ingredients such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.
