Description: Cosmocil® CQ is an effective broad spectrum, fast-acting bactericide for lotion formulations used in wet wipe products.

Common Uses: Skin creams and lotions, moisturizing toners, eye make-up removers, hair conditioners and shampoos, under-arm deodorants, impregnated wet wipes.  Not to be used in hard to preserve formulas that contain aloe or other botanicals, for these formulas combine it with a fungicide.

Usage Rate: PH range 4 to 10, ideal being below 6.  Incompatible with strongly anionic systems like shampoos or body washes. Use at 0.2% - 1.2%

Added just before emulsification.  It is not suitable for anhydrous products.
