Potassium hydroxide, also known as lye, potash, or KOH, is used to make liquid soap.  You cannot achieve a bar or hard soap with this product.

Precautions:  Potassium hydroxide is considered a dangerous good and is extremely corrosive and great care should be taken when handling the product.  Gloves, goggles, long sleeve shirts and vinegar are all necessary equipment when handling this product.  The corrosive properties are activated when it is introduced to wetness and it can and will cause severe chemical burns if in contact with the skin.  Vinegar or any other acidic liquid, will neutralize the KOH if an accidental spill or contact occurs.  *DO NOT USE AROUND CHILDREN OR PETS!  STORE WHERE CHILDREN AND PETS CANNOT COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE PRODUCT.
